Pairs Head 2016

The past weekend saw fleets of pairs from around the country descend on the Tideway to test themselves against each other, the river and the wind. As usual it seemed after the first few that the starters got bored and set everyone off together which made for great spectating from the White Hart just by Barnes Bridge.

Also as usual, TRC put in the minimal time and work into the pairs, rated lower than most, crashed about as much as everyone else, and finished with two wins and three second places.

The winning crews were –
WIM1 2x: Meghann Jackson and Suzi Perry
MIM2 2-: Tom Phelps and Alex Morris

The following senior crews finished in the following positions –
MIM2 2-: 2nd and 4th
MIM2 2x: 2nd
WSen 2-: 2nd
WIM2 2-: 2nd
WIM1 2x: 4th and 5th
MEli 2-: 6th and 7th

Chairman Stephen Dooley finished third in MasC 2- while a MasG 2x finished fifth out of nine and Pauline’s double as usual showed class in a rather mixed WMas F/G/H 2x field.
